Class Description:

• This is a NRA certified training course. The NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting Class is a comprehensive pistol training program. This is an excellent course option that is designed to assist individuals who are new to firearms. Students will learn firearms safely, proper shooting fundamentals, and handgun operations/maintenance.

• In-Class: 6 hours

• Range: 2 hour

Lesson Topics:

• Essential gun safety rules

• Different types of pistols and which one is best for you

• The basics of ammunition

• The fundamentals of pistol shooting

• Different shooting positions

• The most common shooting errors

• Proper gun cleaning and maintenance

• How to maintain your skills

Prerequisite:

• Must not be prohibited from possessing a firearm under Minnesota State Statute 624.714.

• NOTE: NRA membership is not required to attend this course.
